Martin Romauldez, current Speaker of the Philippine House of Representatives, began his political journey in the 1990s as president of the Kabataang Barangay in Tolosa, Leyte. Hailing from a prominent political family, his father Benjamin Romauldez was a former Leyte governor and ambassador. Martin is also the nephew of Imelda Marcos and cousin to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Senator Imee Marcos, continuing a legacy of public service and leadership.
